Grand Canyon National Park is arguably the best place to see the Grand Canyon and the same could be said for helicopter tours because they are much longer flights and relatively less expensive compared to alternative helicopter tours that fly through Grand Canyon West. The National Park is located at the Grand Canyon’s widest point (18 miles wide). The shortest National Park Grand Canyon helicopter flight option is 25 minutes which is approximately twice as long as helicopter flights that go to Grand Canyon West. You will fly across the widest part of the Grand Canyon to the North Rim with narration. For just a little more money you can get a 50-55 minute flight which covers much more of the canyon and is the longest helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon. Helicopters are super smooth compared to airplanes and fly at much lower elevation to offer unique views that can not be experienced any other way.

What you need to know:
There are two helicopter companies at Grand Canyon National Park with Papillon Helicopters offering the most tour options and flight times (lower prices too!). Flight paths are going to be the same so the major differences are in the types of helicopters and flight times. The 50 minute flights are slightly more expensive than the 25 minute flight making it the best value in our opinion. Helicopters can fly year round at the National Park weather permitting. Helicopters can not fly below the rim at the National Park but the flight times over the Grand Canyon are much longer than options offered at Grand Canyon West.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Must be cancelled through Helicopter company no later than 48 hours before tour for 100% refund. No refund within 48 hours of tour. Full refund if helicopter company cancels in advance of the tour.
